One of the reasons I adore living in Chicago is the myriad of museums and cultural institutions. When I'm not write books about cowboys, I'm a homeschool Mom to a bright and curious little dude, and we make a point of going on a weekly adventure to one of these places. This past week, we went to the Chicago History Museum. It had been over a year and a half since the last time we'd visited, but I'd heard of a new exhibit about the authors that are responsible for Chicago's impressive literary legacy, and wanted to check it out. The Chicago Authored Lounge is a lovely space, designed for you to sit and read and relax. It's like a cool cafe, a trendy library, and it would be a perfect place to hang out in peace. I adored it. They're planning tons of events in the space, including silent reading parties! -
