...thusfar, has been the story of me working on completing a first draft to the second FIRES OF CRICKET BEND book as part of NaNoWriMo. Last night, I crossed the 50k word mark. So technically, I completed NaNoWriMo. Yet, my book will likely come in around 65-70k words, so I've a bit left to go. But I'm in a good place, and I know the few scenes I've left to write and the places I need to bridge together, and I've got a list of things to add/enchance once the first draft is complete. Hemingway said, "The first draft of anything is shit." I concur, Ernie old pal. I concur. But it's nearly done, my first draft, and I look forward to being able to tear it apart. Revision is one of my favorite things.
Soldier on, writer-friends. You can do it!
